Home-grown brand The Entertainer is now offering buy-one-get-one delivery offers to select users for free.
The app's directory of incentives and buy-one-get-one-free offers across dining, leisure, beauty and hotel brands in the region, is usually only available to those who have purchased one of its bundles.
However, The Entertainer has now offered its business clients, among which is Mastercard, access to its buy-one-get-one offers for delivery. Other clients are employees with Mubadala Healthcare, DHL and The Chalhoub Group.
Users will also get access to the 25 per cent discount on delivery, but this has been open to the public for free since March.
Messages currently circulating on social media about the entire app being available for free is incorrect, a spokesman for the company said. They were also looking into an erroneous confirmation email that informs Mastercard clients it will get the entire suite of Entertainer products for free.
The new offers are part of the company's pivot to focus more on the delivery side of its business amid the pandemic, offering those who weren't members the ability to download the iOS and Android app for free and access the 25 per cent discount on food deliveries.
To get the free subscription, if you have a Mastercard credit card, you need to create your Entertainer account and log in. Under your "My Profile" tab, scroll down to the "VIP Key" activation box and enter the promo code mastercard2020.
The Dubai and Northern Emirates bundle, as well as the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain bundle, is usually priced at Dh495, but has recently been on sale for Dh295. Add-ons (fitness, dining and adventure tourism packages) will cost you extra.

What is Diwali?
The Hindu festival is at once a celebration of the autumn harvest and the triumph of good over evil, as outlined in the Ramayana.
According to the Sanskrit epic, penned by the sage Valmiki, Diwali marks the time that the exiled king Rama – a mortal with superhuman powers – returned home to the city of Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman, after vanquishing the 10-headed demon Ravana and conquering his kingdom of Lanka. The people of Ayodhya are believed to have lit thousands of earthen lamps to illuminate the city and to guide the royal family home.
In its current iteration, Diwali is celebrated with a puja to welcome the goodness of prosperity Lakshmi (an incarnation of Sita) into the home, which is decorated with diyas (oil lamps) or fairy lights and rangoli designs with coloured powder. Fireworks light up the sky in some parts of the word, and sweetmeats are made (or bought) by most households. It is customary to get new clothes stitched, and visit friends and family to exchange gifts and greetings.
