What to expect from Chanel's autumn / winter 2020 haute couture collection

Chanel releases a snapshot teaser video as it prepares to bring its haute couture collection 'to everyone'

The house of Chanel will present its autumn / winter 2020 haute couture collection on Tuesday, as part of the digital Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

With the show set to take place at 2pm UAE time, streamed live from Paris, a new teaser video has been released, offering a snapshot of what we can expect.

Shot by Loic Prigent, the short video takes viewers behind the scenes, into the Chanel atelier at 31 Rue Cambon, to watch the petite mains (the artisans who hand-make the pieces) and Chanel creative director Virginie Viard add the final touches to the collection.

Speaking ahead of the show in an exclusive interview with The National, Chanel's president of fashion, Bruno Pavlovsky, said: "The haute couture collection is fantastic, however the way we are communicating it is different.

"This presentation is about bringing the collection to everyone. We have 30 looks, impactful pieces, along with photos and videos, and this is for everyone."

Real estate tokenisation project

Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.

The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.

Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
