Fresh Basil is a delicatessen, located on the second floor of the Bab Al Qasr hotel, which is situated opposite Emirates Palace on the Corniche. The deli sells everything from Swiss cheeses, Italian cold cuts, Greek olives and olive oils, French truffles and homemade pastries and breads. All the decisions are left to the chef, and she’s no slouch. Included in the price are an appetiser, a main and a dessert. But the best bit is the additional seven bite-sized morsels that are served sporadically during the meal.
