Gigi Hadid has shared a new glimpse of her five-month old daughter, Khai, with her 79.5 million Instagram followers.
The new mother posted a picture on her Instagram stories showing her daughter lying on her front, wearing a pink hoodie and star-covered trousers. The caption read: “My big girl.”
Khai will be six months old on March 19. Her name is a nod to Hadid's Arab heritage, and reportedly a tribute to her Palestinian grandmother, Khairiah, the mother of real estate developer Mohamed Hadid. The name has Arabic links, with Khai translating to mean "crowned" or "royalty" in English.
In February, Hadid appeared in a Vogue make-up tutorial, and offered advice for other young mothers. "I know that sometimes I'm not washing my face these days. I don't brush my hair for a few days. So I just want to remind those of you watching that this is not how I look every day. Sometimes I go a week without touching make-up.
“Or just putting on deodorant is like: ‘We’re doing great.’ So just remind yourself you're doing the best you can. You're doing amazing. And to just give yourself grace and if you brush your hair this week, I'm really proud of you.”
