Just in case you don’t get your foodie fix by the end of this month’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai Food Festivals, the Taste of Dubai is just around the corner.
Organisers say this year’s festival — which is now in its eighth year — will be bigger and better than ever before. More restaurants will participate in this year’s event and guests will have the chance to taste more than 100 dishes from restaurants like Gaucho, The Scene, The Gramercy, Katsuya, Eataly, The Cheesecake Factory and the newly opened Perry & Blackwelder’s Original Smokehouse.
There will also be nearly 60 vendors on hand offering their signature fare. Some of the notable home-grown vendors to watch for include SugarMoo, Spontiphoria, Rice Creamery, Mikado Bakery, Eclair and Molten Me.
Among the chefs heading to the Taste of Dubai are Michelin-star chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, Food Network star Andy Bates, celebrity chef Jose Pizarro, BBC 1’s Masterchef 2010 winner Dhruv Baker, Michelin-star Indian chef Atul Kochhar and 18-year-old self-taught Emirati baker Bader Al Awadhi.
There will be a hands-on cookery school, chef’s theatre, book signing sessions with celebrity chefs as well as plenty of music and entertainment for adults and kids alike.
