If you're a millennial who has been to Amsterdam in the past few years, it is likely that a visit to The Avocado Show would have been recommended to you by friends.
It's an eatery purely devoted to the fruit. Well, now you don't have to trek all the way to The Netherlands for your fill, because Dubai is getting an avocado cafe of its own.
The aptly named Avocadolicious has opened in Umm Suqeim on Jumeirah Beach Road.
The cafe will serve a range of snacks and dishes, all of which cater to the taste of avocado lovers.
There will be savoury and sweet options on the menu – everything from avocado fries and blackened shrimp avocado bites, to avocado popsicles, sorbets and smoothies, for those with a sweet tooth.
Those who frequent Global Village will already be familiar with home-grown UAE brand Avocadolicious, as it ran a shop at the park in the 2019 season, where it won Best Kiosk of the season for that year.
Globally, you won't just find avocado-themed cafes in Dubai or Amsterdam, there are different branches in New York City, Manchester, Bangkok and Tokyo.
