I was in , the French Bakery in Dubai's Media City, picking up a coffee on my way to work the other morning, when I happened to spot a flyer advertising their "Le Petit Pascal" Friday brunch. Aimed primarily at families, they offer a selection of traditional French breakfast and lunch items- freshly baked bread, pastries, salads, tarts, quiches -, as well as a live cooking station and more importantly, activities for children. After they've had their lunch - just when they're beginning to get a little bit tetchy or bored, perhaps -, little ones are invited to take part in a baking class with the Pascal Tepper chefs, leaving parents to linger over their lattes. They'll either be taught how to make their own bread or pastry, which can be taken away when you leave, to be munched later on in the day. The photo above (taken from the flyer) might well be cheesy, but children do enjoy cooking and considering that the brunch is priced at Dh99 per person, it could be well worth a look. You can also book baking birthday parties, for more information call: 04 454 2408 or email info@pascaltepperfrenchbakery.com. And on another note, they also offer a croissant and coffee breakfast deal for Dh16, which is pretty good value. The brunch is held every Friday from 10am-3pm at Pascal Tepper French Bakery, next to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City.
