Mohamed Hadid has shared a photograph of himself wearing a face mask by Palestinian fashion designer, Noor Subeh.
The mask is made with keffiyeh fabric, the black-and-white checked cloth that is traditionally used for Arabian head dresses.
The Palestinian-American property developer tagged Subeh in the Instagram image and captioned it: "Stay safe for others to keep yourself safe from others."
Based in Los Angeles, Subeh runs her own company, Noor Alla Moda. She is relatively unknown in the fashion world and describes herself as a "fashion designer in the making". Subeh sells her masks through Instagram, telling potential customers to direct-message her to place an order.
Subeh has also shared a DIY mask tutorial on Instagram, in which she used an old checked shirt.
Hadid is father to models Bella, Gigi and Anwar Hadid. The siblings have spoken publicly about their pride in being from Palestine in the past, regularly sharing their favourite family recipes and traditions on social media.
Last month, Bella Hadid accused Instagram of bullying after it removed a story in which she said how proud she was of her father's Palestinian heritage.
She shared an image of her father's long-expired US passport, which states his birthplace as Palestine. Shortly afterwards, she received a notification from the photo-sharing platform to say that the content went against its community guidelines on “harassment and bullying”.
The supermodel shared a screenshot of the removal notification, saying: “@Instagram exactly what part of me being proud of my father’s birthplace of Palestine is 'bullying, harassment, graphic or sexual nudity?'"
“Are we not allowed to be Palestinian on Instagram?" she added. "This, to me, is bullying.”
Instagram later said that they removed the photo on the grounds of privacy, as Hadid's passport number could be seen in the image.

Conflict, drought, famine
Estimates of the number of deaths caused by the famine range from 400,000 to 1 million, according to a document prepared for the UK House of Lords in 2024.
It has been claimed that the policies of the Ethiopian government, which took control after deposing Emperor Haile Selassie in a military-led revolution in 1974, contributed to the scale of the famine.
Dr Miriam Bradley, senior lecturer in humanitarian studies at the University of Manchester, has argued that, by the early 1980s, “several government policies combined to cause, rather than prevent, a famine which lasted from 1983 to 1985. Mengistu’s government imposed Stalinist-model agricultural policies involving forced collectivisation and villagisation [relocation of communities into planned villages].
The West became aware of the catastrophe through a series of BBC News reports by journalist Michael Buerk in October 1984 describing a “biblical famine” and containing graphic images of thousands of people, including children, facing starvation.
Band Aid
Bob Geldof, singer with the Irish rock group The Boomtown Rats, formed Band Aid in response to the horrific images shown in the news broadcasts.
With Midge Ure of the band Ultravox, he wrote the hit charity single Do They Know it’s Christmas in December 1984, featuring a string of high-profile musicians.
Following the single’s success, the idea to stage a rock concert evolved.
Live Aid was a series of simultaneous concerts that took place at Wembley Stadium in London, John F Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, the US, and at various other venues across the world.
The combined event was broadcast to an estimated worldwide audience of 1.5 billion.
