Louis Vuitton’s latest travel accessory

With 163 years of experience creating bespoke luggage, Louis Vuitton knows a thing or two about leather. So it is perhaps unsurprising that the brand has launched something special for the summer travel season: a custom made leather case for your fragrances.

Leather has always been Vuitton’s thing, so when the house unveiled a range of seven fragrances last year, it was perhaps only logical that a travel case would follow. Used as a key component within the scents themselves, leather is also linked to the French town of Grasse, where the fragrances were created. In medieval times, before it became the global epicentre of the perfume industry, Grasse was best known for its leather production.

To protect its precious perfume bottles, Louis Vuitton offers a hard-sided case for carrying multiple bottles, or an individual, hinged leather pouch for single bottles. The cases come in a delicious shade of creamy bone leather, are fastened with a gold coloured clasp, and are decorated with delicate lines of neat, tight stitching.

The travel cases are made to carry 100ml and 200ml bottles, as well as The Flaconnier, and will be available in Louis Vuitton boutiques across the UAE later this month.
