Queen Rania might be known for her impeccable wardrobe, but she played it safe when it came to accessories this week.
The Jordanian royal, 49, donned a protective face mask for a visit to Al Bashir Public Hospital in Amman on Sunday. Her mask was fitted with N95 filters.
Queen Rania, who was joined by King Abdullah II, 58, paired the face-fitting mask with a navy silk blouse, matching culottes and Malone Souliers heels for the occasion.
The royals visited the new emergency hospital affiliated with the health centre.
The hospital includes a helipad for medical emergency arrivals and is connected to Al Bashir by a bridge. The ward comprises around 160 beds, according to the Jordan News Agency, as well as surgery rooms and an intensive care unit.
"With His Majesty today at the inauguration of Al Bashir Hospital’s new emergency and oncology wards," Queen Rania captioned a photo of her visit, which she shared to Instagram.
A video posted on the Royal Hashemite Court's official Instagram account also shows the royals touring the newly refurbished oncology department.
This isn't the first time Queen Rania has sported a face mask while on an official visit.
Last month, the royal wore a disposable medical mask while touring Umm Qais, a village in northern Jordan.
Joined by her eldest daughter, Princess Iman, the mother of four visited Beit Al Baraka, a bed and breakfast hotel, where they took part in a number of traditional experiences.
Queen Rania and Princess Iman, 23, tried basket weaving and embroidering Jordanian scarves. The sessions offered by the hotel aim to teach guests more about the country's heritage.

Dubai-based singer Anita Williams will open the night with a set of covers and swing, jazz and blues standards that made her an in-demand singer across the emirate. The Irish singer has been performing in Dubai since 2008 at venues such as MusicHall and Voda Bar. Her Jazz Garden appearance is career highlight as she will use the event to perform the original song Big Blue Eyes, the single from her debut solo album, due for release soon.
