Iranian model Shiva Safai has tied the knot in a "surprise" wedding that was planned by her fiance in just three days.
The model, who is the ex-partner of Mohamed Hadid, married Dutch DJ Niels Houweling, in an intimate Beverly Hills wedding on October 31.
"I am still processing the fact that my wonderful husband put together my beautiful fairytale wedding in just three days," she wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of the big day.
"Both of our families were in town at the same time and that doesn’t happen often, especially during these crazy and uncertain times. We woke up Tuesday morning, looked at one another and decided that if we don’t do it now, we won’t know when the next opportunity might be due to Covid and all the restrictions it comes with. We figured this would be the best way for now, and it truly was."
"It was the most magical day of my life," she added, explaining that she didn't have to do any of the planning, except for finding a dress, as Houweling handled logistics.
"He planned everything from the pool day with our families, who met the morning of the big day, to scheduling in my glam time, making all the flower arrangements, cake, food and even my bouquet, the list goes on," she explained. "The attention to details made me speechless and I knew I was the luckiest girl in the world to marry this man who knows me better than I know myself."
She went on to add: "He even made sure I got to spend alone time with my dad before walking down the 'aisle'. Which, by the way, was across the room where I was getting ready in. I didn’t even know where the wedding was going to be. Everything until the last minute was a complete surprise."
Every inch the modern bride, the model wore a dove-grey tulle strapless dress, which was cinched with a belt on her waist. She is yet to reveal the designer of her dress, but did share a photo of herself dress shopping with her toy Pomeranian dog, Blu, on his Instagram account.
The couple got engaged during a trip to Amsterdam on August 1, after going public with their romance in December 2019.
"It does make a difference ... already a week, I feel, dream, breathe, love being future Mrs Houweling," she wrote at the time.
Safai is the ex-fiancee of Palestinian-American real estate developer Hadid. The couple reportedly separated in 2018, but did not confirm their split until she went public with Houweling a year later.

Building boom turning to bust as Turkey's economy slows
Deep in a provincial region of northwestern Turkey, it looks like a mirage - hundreds of luxury houses built in neat rows, their pointed towers somewhere between French chateau and Disney castle.
Meant to provide luxurious accommodations for foreign buyers, the houses are however standing empty in what is anything but a fairytale for their investors.
The ambitious development has been hit by regional turmoil as well as the slump in the Turkish construction industry - a key sector - as the country's economy heads towards what could be a hard landing in an intensifying downturn.
After a long period of solid growth, Turkey's economy contracted 1.1 per cent in the third quarter, and many economists expect it will enter into recession this year.
The country has been hit by high inflation and a currency crisis in August. The lira lost 28 per cent of its value against the dollar in 2018 and markets are still unconvinced by the readiness of the government under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to tackle underlying economic issues.
The villas close to the town centre of Mudurnu in the Bolu region are intended to resemble European architecture and are part of the Sarot Group's Burj Al Babas project.
But the development of 732 villas and a shopping centre - which began in 2014 - is now in limbo as Sarot Group has sought bankruptcy protection.
It is one of hundreds of Turkish companies that have done so as they seek cover from creditors and to restructure their debts.
