Helen Mirren, Kate Beckinsale, Rebel Wilson and Sienna Miller walk the red carpet in face masks for the Monte Carlo Gala for Planetary Health

Johnny Depp, Helen Mirren and Rebel Wilson were among the A-list names to attend the Monte Carlo Gala for Planetary Health on Thursday evening.

The annual gala is hosted by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and brings together leading philanthropists, decision makers, artists, talents and scientists to try to bridge the gap between health and the environment.

This year's event focused on "protecting the ocean and Earth for the future of Humanity", and was one of the first major A-list red carpets to take place during the coronavirus pandemic.

Stars came out in force for the event, hosted by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Among those in attendance were Sting, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, and Andy Garcia.

The event was of course held with coronavirus precautions in place, and many stars chose to add a face mask to their red carpet look.

Actress Kate Beckinsale stunned in a white and gold embellished one shoulder gown and matching face mask, by Lebanese designer Georges Chakra.

Helen Mirren went for a classic Dolce and Gabbana emerald green dress, with a custom-made matching face mask.

Bridesmaids star Rebel Wilson chose a metallic pastel dress by Rene Ruiz Collection, complete with matching face mask, while Maisie Williams wore a black netted Dior gown, with a plain black Alaia face mask.
