Princess Eugenie, 30, welcomed her first child, a baby boy whose name has yet to be revealed, on Tuesday. The British royal took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and husband Jack Brooksbank, 34, holding his little hand along with three blue hearts.
Born at London’s Portland Hospital where Kate Middleton welcomed her three children, the baby boy weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce (3.6 kilograms) and is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild.
“The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news,” said a statement from Buckingham Palace. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
Where is the new royal baby in line to the throne?
Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's new baby boy automatically becomes 11th in line to the throne, pushing the Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, down into 12th place. This is because the new baby is the grandchild of Prince Andrew, who is older than his brother Edward, and so therefore leaves the boy further up the line of succession.
The new line is:
1. Charles, The Prince of Wales
2. Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge
3. Prince George of Cambridge
4. Princess Charlotte of Cambridge
5. Prince Louis of Cambridge
6. Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex
7. Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor
8. Prince Andrew, The Duke of York
9. Princess Beatrice of York
10. Princess Eugenie of York
11. Eugenie's baby son
12. Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex
Why won’t Princess Eugenie’s baby have a title?
As with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie, Eugenie's new baby boy will not have a title or be styled HRH. However, while the lack of a title for Archie Windsor, 1, was a deliberate choice by his parents who now live in California, baby Brooksbank's is because of royal protocol.
Although his mother is a princess by blood, because the baby was born down the female line of the Royal Family, Master Brooksbank will not have a title unless the Queen decides to bestow one.
The lack of title also stems from the fact that Jack Brooksbank was not given one when he married Eugenie in 2018. The modern precedent for this was set by Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, whose children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, also do not have titles.
Captain Phillips did not receive a title on their wedding day, with Raising Royalty author and Carolyn Harris telling Town & Country: "The couple declined a peerage of this kind that would have provided their children with titles."

Tax authority targets shisha levy evasion
The Federal Tax Authority will track shisha imports with electronic markers to protect customers and ensure levies have been paid.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, director of the tax authority, on Sunday said the move is to "prevent tax evasion and support the authority’s tax collection efforts".
The scheme’s first phase, which came into effect on 1st January, 2019, covers all types of imported and domestically produced and distributed cigarettes. As of May 1, importing any type of cigarettes without the digital marks will be prohibited.
He said the latest phase will see imported and locally produced shisha tobacco tracked by the final quarter of this year.
"The FTA also maintains ongoing communication with concerned companies, to help them adapt their systems to meet our requirements and coordinate between all parties involved," he said.
As with cigarettes, shisha was hit with a 100 per cent tax in October 2017, though manufacturers and cafes absorbed some of the costs to prevent prices doubling.
