You don’t have to be trackside to gear up for an adrenaline-charged weekend of Formula One fun – there is plenty of entertainment and a host of activities on offer across the capital.
Beats on the Beach
While F1 ticket holders get access to the big after-race concerts at du Arena, those who aren’t attending the races need not feel left out, as a host of renowned regional and international acts will be performing for free on the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Filipino sensation Bamboo, Emirati singer Fayez Al Saeed and Scandinavian icon Tove Lo will take the stage for free concerts on Thursday, November 26.
On November 27, American hip-hop artist J Cole, Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury, Emirati artist Omar Al Marzooqi and UAE rockers Carl & the Reda Mafia will take the stage. The closing Beats on the Beach gigs on November 28 will feature electronica stars Faithless, regional singer Arwa and hip-hop queen Malikah.
F1 FanZone
The West Plaza on the Corniche will come alive with musical performances and big screens broadcasting race highlights from 5pm to 11pm on November 25, and 4pm to midnight from November 26 to 28. There is plenty for fans of all ages, from talent competitions to the Volkswagen Beats on the Beach concerts.
Yas Mall Studio
Now in its second year, the Yas Mall Studio offers a chance for fans to get close to some of their favourite artists, who will talk and answer questions about their careers. Cheb Khaled, Said Mrad, Fares Karam, Aryam, Arwa, Omar Al Marzooqi, Tove Lo and Faithless are expected to take the hot seat at Yas Mall, over the weekend.
Urban Art Zone
Introduced last year to include visual artists in the Grand Prix festivities, the art zone transforms everyday objects into masterpieces through the collaborative efforts of residents and artists. Professional workshops for children and adults will run throughout the day on the Corniche.
Pitstop tour at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
Have you watched the race from the grandstand, or on television, and been curious about the well-oiled machines that keeps the cars running on track? F1 ticket holders can take a Pitstop Tour for a discounted rate of Dh95 at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. The 90-minute tour will take in the tyre-change station, the Viva Ferrari Show, Galleria Ferrari, Driving with the Champions, Made in Maranello and Cinema Maranello.
