Children in the UAE on going back to school: 'It's strange to sit in a class again'

After a long time away, children in the UAE have now returned to school.

The end of the holidays and return to school was once a normal, but exciting event for pupils, however, it has been made more significant this year because of the pandemic. The coronavirus caused schools in the country to close their classrooms and move all learning online, with children studying only at home.

So, how has the experience of returning to the classroom been for some of the Emirates' younger inhabitants?

We ask several children in the UAE to share their thoughts on going back to school, the best thing about it, and of course, what they think about the Covid-19 safety measures in place in their classrooms.

We also find out what they learnt from their homeschooling experiences.
