Black Friday traditionally takes place the day after Thanksgiving, when major sales are launched across the US and the rest of the world. Now that we live in an age of online shopping, the sales have gone digital and often last much longer than one day.
The name Black Friday has also been adapted by brands. So, whether it's Black Friday, Yellow Friday or White Friday, here we round up some of the best upcoming online sales ...
Amazon's White Friday
When: Tuesday, November 24 to Monday, November 30
The online shopping giant says that this will be Amazon.ae's biggest sale of the year. Called the White Friday sale, the company has promised thousands of savings of up to 70 per cent off across 30 categories including electronics, fashion, sports, beauty, kitchen and home, including household name brands such as Bose, Samsung, Sony, Nutricook, PowerMax Fitness, Dyson, Black+Decker, Michael Kors, Guess, Adidas, Under Armour, L'Oreal Paris, Maybelline and more.
This year, the company will also include deals on a curated collection of local small businesses, giving customers the chance to discover and support a growing list of entrepreneurs in the UAE.
Noon's Yellow Friday
When: Monday, November 23 to Sunday, November 29
As part of what the online shopping platform is calling the "craziest sale of the year" there will be deals across all categories, including up to 80 per cent off products, bundle deals, a 9pm daily flash sale and daily price crashes with new deals each day.
Among the brands included are Adidas, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, La Roche Posay, Reebok and more.
Namshi's Black November
When: Until Monday, November 30
Namshi took discounts one step further this month, with its Namshi Black November sale. The clothing store is offering up to 50 per cent off pre-existing 30 per cent discounts on the store's range of clothing, footwear, and accessories. With the code BN, there is also a buy-one-get-one-free offer on selected brands.
Brands discounted include Nike, Adidas, Ella, Khizana, Lacoste, American Eagle, Mango, Topshop, Robert Wood, Minoti and more.
Eideal's Black Friday sale
When: Friday, November 27
Online haircare products and tools website Eideal is offering 50 per cent off its entire range, which includes products from Olaplex, Davines and Eideal's own hair tools, which have been used by celebrity stylist Jen Atkin. To avail the deal, use the promotional code BLACKFRIDAY50.
Emaar Entertainment’s White Friday promotion
When: Sunday, November 22 to Thursday, November 26
Emaar Entertainment is giving guests the chance to visit some of Dubai's most famous destinations for a discounted price. As part of the White Friday promotion, guests will get 60 per cent off standard tickets to some of Emaar Entertainment’s most popular attractions, including At the Top Burj Khalifa, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice Rink, VR Park, Kidzania Dubai, EKart Zabeel and Dig It, at The Springs Souk.
NRG Fitness's Black Friday week
When: Until Saturday, November 28
Prospective members can take advantage of discounted classes at NRG Fitness. The Dubai Marina gym offers Hiit, KO8, Zumba, Barre, Lift, TOA and indoor cycling classes, with new membership deals starting from Dh909.
The deals work out as 16 classes with a three-month validity for Dh909 (reduced from Dh1,299); 24 classes with a four-month validity for Dh1,299 (reduced from Dh1,799); and unlimited classes in a si- month membership for Dh599 per month (reduced from Dh899).
Sivvi's Black Friday deals
