Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi has unveiled details of two of its lands: Bedrock and Dynamite Gulch.
Bedrock
Homeland of Hanna-Barbera's The Flintstones, Bedrock is an age-old land powered by birds and dinosaurs. This prehistoric zone will feature a boat ride through Stonetrail Park (stone-age wetlands), prehistoric neighbourhoods and the city's picturesque downtown area. Bedrock is designed to provide visitors an insight into the Flintstone and Rubble families with a day-in-the-life experience. There will also be the chance to participate in Bedrock's Centennial Parade, with a promise of harassment from the Flintstone's pet Snorkasaurus, Dino. Bedrock land is home to restaurants, Mammoth Munchies for a quick bite, and Bronto Burgers and Ribs for something more substantial.
Dynamite Gulch
Dynamite Gulch is a Looney Tunes animated storyland. This zone is inhabited by characters such as the Road Runner and Wile E Coyote, as well as Marvin The Martian, Yosemite Sam, and The Jetsons.
Rides
The ACME Road Rocket 9000 ride takes you on a trip with Wile E Coyote as he pursues Road Runner throught the desert. Marvin The Martian Crater Crashers turns a crash-landing crater into mini-bumper car fun. There will be a chance to see and buy items Yosemite Sam has gathered on his travels at Yosemite Sam Rootin' Tootin' Gas gift shop.
When the 1.65 million-square-foot theme park opens to the public this summer, it will feature 29 rides, live entertainment and six distinct zones: Gotham City, Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, and Warner Bros Plaza.
Other kid-friendly attractions include the classic carousel ride called Cartoon Junction Carousel, Daffy’s Jet-Propelled Pogo Stick, which features a vertical ‘jump tower’ as well as Tweety Wild Wockets, a ride that spins passengers around. There will also be a walk-through stage show experience called Meet Bugs! (and Daffy).
