The UAE issued 4,201 new licences for economic activities in June, taking the total to 652,885 licences at the end of the month, according to government data.
The number of licences for economic activities in Dubai reached 300,000 by the end of June, representing 46 per cent of the total licences registered in the UAE, state-run news agency WAM reported, citing government statistics.
In Abu Dhabi, the total number of licences issued until the end of June was about 145,660, equal to or 22.3 per cent of the country's total.
In Sharjah, the total number of licences stood at 84,505.
Efforts put in place to manage the effects of Covid-19 helped Dubai to limit the damage to its economy as more advanced countries registered a steeper drop in growth, the Dubai Statistics Centre said in a separate report.
Dubai revealed a Dh1.5 billion stimulus package in March to offset the impact of the coronavirus on its economy.
The government waived 2.5 per cent market fees, refunded customs fees on imported items and offered a 10 per cent discount on utilities for its residents and citizens.
The emirate also pledged to support its airline, Emirates, with an equity injection to help it ride out the Covid-19 crisis.
Dubai has now reopened its economy and eased movement restrictions, helping the economic recovery.

Key findings of Jenkins report
- Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al Banna, "accepted the political utility of violence"
- Views of key Muslim Brotherhood ideologue, Sayyid Qutb, have “consistently been understood” as permitting “the use of extreme violence in the pursuit of the perfect Islamic society” and “never been institutionally disowned” by the movement.
- Muslim Brotherhood at all levels has repeatedly defended Hamas attacks against Israel, including the use of suicide bombers and the killing of civilians.
- Laying out the report in the House of Commons, David Cameron told MPs: "The main findings of the review support the conclusion that membership of, association with, or influence by the Muslim Brotherhood should be considered as a possible indicator of extremism."
