DUBAI // A new rooftop parking deck with 1,300 extra spaces has been added to Mall of the Emirates, as part of a Dh1 billion revamp plan.
The opening means that the mall now has 7,200 spaces in total.
The parking project is part of a redevelopment called ‘Evolution 2015’ that aims to expand and enhance offerings at the mall, said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, a senior director for mall operator Majid Al Futtaim Properties.
Following analysis of shoppers’ feedback, the developer focused on providing additional spaces and refurbishing the existing car-parking areas. Work on the ground floor parking area has been completed with a new taxi rank with 40 additional spaces, said Mr Sharaf.
