Jumeirah Group opened a hotel in Frankfurt today, the Dubai-based luxury operator's first property in mainland Europe.
The five-star hotel, located in the centre of Frankfurt, boasts "the largest rooms in Frankfurt", which are at least 35 square metres in size, the company said.
Jumeirah Group, which manages the Burj Al Arab and Emirates Towers hotels, has already opened hotels in Shanghai and the Maldives this year, as well as the Zabeel Saray resort on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.
Jumeirah Group's wave of openings this year comes after several years of inactivity in terms of new launches overseas, despite having several management contracts signed.
The operator plans to launch its first hotel in Abu Dhabi in September.
It also manages hotels in London and New York.
Jumeirah plans to manage resorts in locations including Anguilla in the Caribbean and Baku in Azerbaijan, and Thailand, as well as having about half a dozen contracts signed for properties in China.
The Frankfurt hotel has 218 rooms, spread over 25 floors.
Its facilities include a large ballroom and a spa.
Jumeirah Group in January said it was cutting jobs at a group and corporate level as it expanded internationally and put a regional structure in place.
