ABU DHABI // Emirates Palace hotel hopes to revive old rivalries at an upcoming tennis series this spring.

A promotional video for Tennis at the Palace shows former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek and Moroccan player Younes El Aynaoui exchanging shots in the lobby, terrace and guest rooms.

Former top professionals Tim Henman, Pat Cash, Mikael Pernfors, Peter McNamara, Mansour Bahrami, Jana Novotna and Marion Bartoli are also confirmed to play at the “quintessentially British event with a twist”.

The three-day event includes a ladies’ evening on Thursday that includes high tea, gourmet dinner and the tennis exhibition. Individual tickets are Dh1,500 and tables of 10 for the royal enclosure are Dh15,000.

Tickets are Dh1,950 or Dh19,500 for tables of 10 on Friday, and Dh1,750 or Dh17,500 for a hospitality day badge for the royal enclosure on Saturday. This includes lunch, beverages, afternoon tea and a grandstand ticket.

The event is presented by London department store Fortnum and Mason.

Tennis at the Palace starts on March 12 and is held under the patronage of Sheikha Shaikha bint Mohammed.
