Free wireless in Downtown Dubai

In line with Dubai's Smart City project, the 3.5 kilometre stretch now provides free wifi for anyone in the vicinity.

Visitors to Downtown Dubai can now enjoy free wireless connectivity along the 3.5-kilometre Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

Developer Emaar has partnered with du to offer visitors the access as part of the Smart City project, which aims to provide high-speed internet in public places.

Where can I submit a sample?

Volunteers can now submit DNA samples at a number of centres across Abu Dhabi. The programme is open to all ages.

Collection centres in Abu Dhabi include:

  • Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)
  • Biogenix Labs in Masdar City
  • Al Towayya in Al Ain
  • NMC Royal Hospital in Khalifa City
  • Bareen International Hospital
  • NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain
  • NMC Royal Medical Centre - Abu Dhabi
  • NMC Royal Women’s Hospital.
