Aldar Properties has announced the launch of its new "Water's Edge" development on Yas Island, with sales in the first residential building launching next week at Citiscape Dubai, the company said on Monday.
The Abu Dhabi-listed developer said the Dh2.4 billion development will include 2,255 homes, available for purchase by all nationalities. Prices will start at Dh480,000 for the residences, which Aldar said will all have full or partial water views.

“Water’s Edge is the latest chapter in the Yas Island story – bringing high quality waterfront living to the Emirate,” said Mohamed Al Mubarak, chief executive of Aldar. “We are confident that Water’s Edge will complement our existing residential portfolio, and draw a positive response from customers.”
The community will have pedestrian access to all amenities including a waterfront promenade with multiple dining and retail options. The development's 13 apartment buildings will be situated beside the upcoming Sea World theme park.

Aldar said that the project will start construction at the end of the year with handovers scheduled for 2020.
The development will correspond to the upcoming Dh12bn South Yas development, which will have a new twofour54 campus built by Aldar, bringing 10,000 media and entertainment industry professionals to the island.
