Lime Studio's partner develops business behind the scenes

Richard Haddad oversees the business development side of things for Lime Studio. He speaks about a typical day drumming up clients.

6.45am
I am an early riser. I have family, so it is family first, breakfast, school. I have one daughter, Yasmina. She is 11.

9am
I tend to visit event organisers and hotels, which are my main contacts in the business. I drop by their office for a couple of hours to see what they need, what is the schedule. Usually I meet contacts, managers or owners. They run concerts or comedy nights, weddings, corporate events, sports events, birthday parties.

2pm
I have meetings in the afternoon as well, so it is not that it always has to be in the morning. I try to clear the lunch period, because I know Alvin is around as well. Administration jobs we both handle together, but business development for corporates I am still the face of it. He is starting to take over and he is the contact that I introduce. I see myself more of twice a week here, especially as I have other ventures. But it is my passion so it is something I enjoy to the maximum.

Afternoon
Unless there is another event I'm not around, but I tend to be of support when there's a multiple event outside. I go and enjoy being around and see when they cover a concert or corporate shoots I try to be around and usually it's more for logistical support, if anything is needed.

6pm
I am back with my family. My daughter is doing a couple of activities. She does guitar, piano, and horseback riding, so I have to be the driver. We have time to chat and bond. My wife is working so it is time to have dinner together. They sleep early because my wife wakes up very early. I have more free time in late evening. I do sports twice a week and the other days I go back and start the backwork. We both manage the Facebook page. We send teasers. We share our work that has been done. It keeps the page alive.

10pm - 1am
I go to my bed.
