The UAE's nuclear company is ready to talk.
Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, the Government-owned company building the UAE's first nuclear reactors, is putting its chief executive before the Abu Dhabi public tonight -- the first time it is doing so since before the
disaster at Japan's Fukushima power plant
in March.
The discussion marks a
from the relative quiet from the UAE's nuclear authorities in the aftermath of the Japanese disaster. Enec is evidently well aware of the need to bring the population behind its plans, with a
study commissioned last month and staff eager to
everyone from the military to schoolchildren.
The town hall meeting is tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Hall A of Adnec, the exhibition centre. For more information visit
