Abu Dhabi-based Bloom Holding appointed Walid El Hindi as its new chief executive to oversee the operations of the company in property, education, hospitality and services.
“We believe that Walid El-Hindi will be instrumental in enabling Bloom Holding to reach new heights in the achievement of our long-term vision," the company said in a statement on Sunday. "We look forward to further success under his leadership as we continue to develop premium real estate, whilst managing and operating our best-in-class communities, schools and hotels."
The company, which is part of Abu Dhabi-based group National Holding, was founded in 2007 and owns a number of properties in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi, it has developed the Bloom Gardens, Bloom Marina, Park View and Soho Square schemes, while in Dubai it has the Bloom Towers and Bloom Heights at Jumeirah Village Circle. The company also owns hotels and schools, and has facilities management and landscaping arms.
Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr El Hindi spent five years as chief executive of Imkan Properties, part of Abu Dhabi Capital Group. Before this, he was chief development officer for Emaar Misr in Egypt and has taught architecture as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota.
“Bloom Holding has broad capabilities in the market that has enabled it to grow from strength to strength ... I am eager to begin working alongside Bloom’s team as we enter a new chapter together," Mr El Hindi said.
