Non-Arab television viewers now have a chance to be swept up with the spirit of the Holy Month.
Sharjah TV2 are launching three Ramadan programs catering to English, Urdu and Farsi speakers.
In the English series Islamic Care, host Taleb Abdullah will focus on the Islamic ethics the Holy Month aims to foster within worshippers.
Ramadan Mubarak, presented by Arshad Bisher Madani in Urdu, will address how Ramadan provides the necessary spiritual tools to strengthen one's faith, while in the Farsi programme Ramadan: The Spring of Quran, Abdullah Kashkar will shed light on the positive aspects of the fast.
Sharjah Media Corporation’s Mohammed Jamal said the new programming aims to make television coverage during The Holy Month inclusive.
“We have been eager to allocate a significant portion of the Ramadan line-up to the non-Arabic speaking community and present them with programs in different languages,” he said.
“These programs will serve to raise awareness about the teachings of Islam and spread these teachings among people. We believe these outstanding programs will attract audience as they have meaningful content that will meet the needs of people who seek to know more about the various values of Ramadan.”
