Salman Khan is back with a bang in Ek Tha Tiger, as its first trailer got a thumbs up from the Bollywood community. Hindi film stars took to Twitter to praise Khan, who stars in the movie as a rowdy undercover agent named Tiger. "Killer first look Ek Tha Tiger, wow, can't wait to see this one Salman Khan. Awesome," Arjun Rampal posted. "Ek Tha Tiger will roar the loudest at the box off this Eid ... and Salman Khan's outstanding performance," tweeted Ritesh Deshmukh. The film's director Kabir Khan was elated with the response, posting: "Good morning … It's nice to wake up and see that Ek Tha Tiger is the top trending topic on Twitter." The film, which also stars Katrina Kaif, is set for an August 15 release. - PTI
Vipul Shah returns to TV
After directing one of the longest-running Indian soap operas, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, a decade ago, the director Vipul Shah is returning to television with Bhai, Bhaiya Aur Brother. "My show is a light-hearted family drama. I have a special place for serials which initiate the importance of family in us," Shah said. Bhai, Bhaiya Aur Brother is a cross-cultural comedy that centres on three brothers. - PTI
Esha not intimidated by Bipasha
The model-turned-actress Esha Gupta, who stars alongside Bipasha Basu in the forthcoming film Raaz 3, said she did not feel intimidated by her co-star. "I was definitely nervous. I have seen her on the big screen and I have been a fan of her," said Gupta. "But working with Bipasha was great. She is very lovely and makes sure she gives you full attention. A short video featuring the former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, filmed in a typical Bollywood potboiler style, has gone viral. The three-minute clip, titled Sourav Ganguly - The Movie, has received close to half a million views in less than a week since it was uploaded. The video was created not by an aspiring filmmaker but by Apollo Munich Health Insurance for internal training and motivation purposes. - PTI

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tops the list of ideal celebrity mothers in Bollywood, according to a survey conducted by Shaadi.com. The public was asked to name which Bollywood star they look up to when it comes to motherhood. Bachchan, 38, was named by 54 per cent of the respondents. Coming in second is Karisma Kapoor, the star of Dangerous Ishhq (see our Radio Mirchi box for a review), who received 27 per cent of the votes.
