Addams Family’s pugsley dies
Ken Weatherwax, who played the child character Pugsley on The Addams Family television series in the 1960s, has died. He was 59. Weatherwax died of a heart attack at his Box Canyon, California, home over the weekend, said Joey D Vieira, his half-brother. Weatherwax's body was found on Sunday. Pugsley, the son of Gomez and Morticia, was a member of the family of macabre oddballs in the television series, which was broadcast on ABC from 1964 to 1966. – AP
Jenni Rivera’s estate sues over fatal plane crash
The estate of the Mexican-American superstar Jenni Rivera is suing the owners of a Learjet that crashed two years ago, killing the singer and several members of her entourage. Rivera’s estate filed the negligence lawsuit against Starwood Management Inc in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday. Starwood owned the Learjet 25 that crashed in northern Mexico in December 2012. Rivera’s company has been sued along with Starwood by relatives of those killed in the crash, including her lawyer, hairstylist, publicist and make-up artist, and one of the plane’s pilots. Lawyers are scheduled to update a judge on Wednesday on the progress of settlement talks between Rivera’s company and the relatives. A representative for Starwood could not be found to comment.
