New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is to host a screening and Q&A session with the acclaimed and multi-award-winning director Benny Brunner.
On November 4 at 6.30pm, NYUAD will screen Brunner's 2015 documentary The H Protocol, which looks at the Israeli army's Hannibal Directive that aims to prevent the enemy from escaping with a live captured Israeli soldier by all means. The following day at the same time brings a screening of The Great Book Robbery, the story of 70,000 Palestinian books systematically 'collected' from private libraries by Israel during the 1948 war.
Both screenings take place in the university’s arts centre, room 006, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the director.
Then on November 6 and 7, Brunner will host a comprehensive film making workshop which aims to see all participants complete a short documentary film by the end of the session.

Muslim Council of Elders condemns terrorism on religious sites
The Muslim Council of Elders has strongly condemned the criminal attacks on religious sites in Britain.
It firmly rejected “acts of terrorism, which constitute a flagrant violation of the sanctity of houses of worship”.
“Attacking places of worship is a form of terrorism and extremism that threatens peace and stability within societies,” it said.
The council also warned against the rise of hate speech, racism, extremism and Islamophobia. It urged the international community to join efforts to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
