The late actress Naya Rivera's voice will be heard in a new Batman animated film Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One, scheduled to be released in the summer.
Glee star Rivera, who accidentally drowned during a boating trip in July 2020, will voice Catwoman/Selina Kyle, The Hollywood Reporter says. The film will feature an ensemble voice cast including Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles, who will voice Batman/Bruce Wayne. Josh Duhamel will voice supervillain Harvey Dent, while voice actor Troy Baker will take on Joker.
Rivera completed her voice work as Catwoman/Selina Kyle for The Long Halloween, which will be a two-part project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Chris Palmer, who directed the 2020 animated film Superman: Man of Tomorrow, will helm the Batman film, produced by Warner Bros Animation, DC Films and Warner Bros Home Entertainment.
Rivera, best known for her role as cheerleader Santana in the TV series Glee, was declared missing after her son, Josey, 4, was found alone in a rented boat at a Los Angeles reservoir last year. Her body was recovered five days later. Officials later declared Rivera's death as case of accidental drowning. She was 33.
