Kris Fade and Two Tone team up (again) on new single I Woke Up Like This

UAE famous faces Kris Fade and Two Tone have teamed up in the studio for a second time.

The Virgin Radio DJ and international rap star are notorious mates, who hit big with collaboration In It For Love, which topped the Middle East iTunes chart for six weeks earlier this year.

The celebrity pals will be hoping to repeat the feat with Fade's second single I Woke Up Like This, which again stars Two Tone as a featured artist.

"I wanted to create a track that encapsulated the current mood of the generation," says Fade. "I Woke Up Like This is catchy, humorous and can mean different things to different people.

“As a guy who is used to waking up extremely early every day and in various states of dishevel, depending on how early I slept the night before.”

Naturally, the tune debuted on Virgin on November 15.

Fade and Two Tone have proved the best of pals, appearing onstage together at February’s RedFestDXB, supporting Drake in March, and at September’s Dubai Music Week.

"It's been really cool working with Kris again on this single, and we hope that the public enjoy listening to it as much as they did with In It For Love," added the musician otherwise known as Rachid Ben Messaoud.

With a canny eye for regional collaborations, in the past two years Two Tone has emerged as one of the most successful artists based in the UAE. His recent collaboration with fellow Moroccan vocalist Ibtissam Tiskat, Weli Liya (Coming Home), clocked more than three million hits.
