The man dubbed as God of Cricket in India has an anthem people can chant now. Indian singer Kailash Kher has composed the 'Sachin Anthem' as a tribute to master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who will be playing his final international test cricket match later this week. This will be the Indian cricketer's 200th test game.
The song will be released on November 14 when Tendulkar plays against West Indies at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. It will be available on the Kher’s YouTube channel and can be downloaded for free from his website for a month.
"We are presently shooting for the video of the song,” Kher told IANS in a telephone interview.
“The song will be available online from Nov 13 and the video can be seen on our YouTube channel from Nov 14. We want to celebrate this moment as a festival for a month.”
The singer says the song expresses his love and emotions for the cricket legend.
The lyrics to the song Ek hai samandar, ek chand, ek sooraj, ek hai Himalaya, ek hai gagan, ek hai Bharat, ek Bharat ka Sachin (There is one sea, one moon, one sun, one Himalaya, one sky, one India and only one Sachin) were written in three days by the 40-year-old artist.
“From composing to recording and production, it was all complete in those three day. I am a big fan of Sachin.”
"When Sachin made his 100th international century against Bangladesh in 2012, even I was present in Dhaka during that time. I had planned to write a song for him since then, but got busy with something or the other.
"About two-three weeks ago, I was talking to Suresh Raina who told me that this will be Sachin's last Test match. That's when I decided to pen down the song and show what I feel about him through it," he says.

Hili 2: Unesco World Heritage site
The site is part of the Hili archaeological park in Al Ain. Excavations there have proved the existence of the earliest known agricultural communities in modern-day UAE. Some date to the Bronze Age but Hili 2 is an Iron Age site. The Iron Age witnessed the development of the falaj, a network of channels that funnelled water from natural springs in the area. Wells allowed settlements to be established, but falaj meant they could grow and thrive. Unesco, the UN's cultural body, awarded Al Ain's sites - including Hili 2 - world heritage status in 2011. Now the most recent dig at the site has revealed even more about the skilled people that lived and worked there.
