Filming has begun on From A to B, the Emirati filmmaker Ali F Mostafa’s new project, which is co-produced by twofour54 and Image Nation Abu Dhabi, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media, the publisher and owner of The National.
The majority of filming, which began this week, will take place in the UAE and various locations throughout the region. Mostafa (pictured below on set) has been tweeting prolifically about From A to B, a comedy drama that follows three childhood friends on a road trip from Abu Dhabi to Beirut to honour the death of their best friend five years earlier.
Ali, whose previous work includes the 2009 Emirati blockbuster City of Life, said: “I appreciate twofour54 for supporting the development of this film and Image Nation for co-producing it – they are responsible for turning this idea into a reality. These two organisations are committed to building a film industry in the UAE and, without them, From A to B would never have happened.”
The cast of From A to B includes Fahad Albutairi, the Saudi stand-up comedian and Twitter sensation (he has more than a million followers), and Shadi Alfons, the Egyptian actor and writer. – The National staff

A lesson in simple, seasonal eating. With the opposite almost exactly the case this time around, Pakistan still have to hope they can salvage a win from somewhere.
