The Emirati Cinema Campaign (ECC) was launched last week to raise awareness about the film movement in the UAE.
With the growing success achieved by Emirati cinema in the past few years, locally, regionally and internationally and especially with the increasing number of feature films, the campaign will work to raise public awareness of Emirati cinema, strengthen the presence and interaction with films made in the UAE throughout the year and encourage young people to consider cinema as a profession and pursue filmmaking careers.
The ECC also seeks in the long-term to establish an interactive base between the Emirati film movement and the public, while creating a link between the country’s cinematic, cultural, educational and media entities.
