Assi Helani to perform in Yas Viceroy

Arabic pop music will take centrestage later this month in Abu Dhabi. Assi Helani is set to headline a gala dinner concert at the Yas Viceroy on April 25. The Lebanese singer and mentor for the reality singing show The Voice will perform at the hotel's Palm Garden. The set will feature his hit tracks Wani Mareq Mareet, Amshi Lihali and Ahebbak Gedan. A buffet dinner will be served by the hotel's in-house restaurant Atayeb. Tickets begin from Dh800 and are available from www.ticketingco.com. Sunny Deol: there's no shortcut to success

Sunny Deol, whose father Dharam Singh is better known as Dharmendra - one of Bollywood's biggest stars, has warned his own son that real success comes only with hard work. Despite coming from an acting family, Deol said that he is trying to teach 21-year-old Karan to carve a niche for himself on the basis of good character and commitment to his craft. "I tell Karan to be a good person, to work hard. I tell him there's no shortcut to success," Deol told reporters. Karan recently worked as an assistant director on Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, which stars both his father and his uncle Bobby as well as his famous grandfather. Deol said that his father Dharmendra was a self-made man and advises his son to follow in those footsteps. – IANS

Real estate tokenisation project

Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.

The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.

Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
