Last week, Friends: The Reunion broadcast to rave reviews. But that wasn't the only trip down the sitcom's memory lane that took place in recent days.
Courteney Cox, who played Monica in the 10-season series, met up with a friend of her own, Ed Sheeran, to recreate The Routine, a dance famously performed by Cox's character and her brother in the show, Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), on a New Year's Eve TV set.
The pair pull off the dance almost perfectly ... until the very end when they don't quite land the lift – a step famously debated by Monica and Ross.
The first time round, the dance was impressive enough to have a whole episode named after it, season six's The One with the Routine.
Monica and Ross manage to convince Joey (Matt LeBlanc) to let them join him and his flatmate-turned-love interest Janine Lecroix (Elle Macpherson) on the set of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
The siblings desperately want to get on to one of the podiums for optimum airtime, which is when they decide to bring out The Routine, a dance they had created in high school.
The Routine is choreographed to the 1999 pop song Trouble with Boys by Loreta.

Friends: The Reunion dropped on global streaming sites on Thursday.
Cox, Schwimmer, LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry all reunited to look back on the popular show, which ran for a decade from 1994 to 2004.
Throughout the unscripted special episode, the cast answered questions from the audience, reread extracts of the script, laughed at bloopers and reflected on outtakes from filming the show.
The much-anticipated reunion special began with footage from the final episode, with viewers told that, since the 2004 finale, all six cast members have not been in the same room together “until today”, 17 years on.

TERMINAL HIGH ALTITUDE AREA DEFENCE (THAAD)
What is THAAD?
It is considered to be the US's most superior missile defence system.
Production:
It was created in 2008.
Speed:
THAAD missiles can travel at over Mach 8, so fast that it is hypersonic.
Abilities:
THAAD is designed to take out ballistic missiles as they are on their downward trajectory towards their target, otherwise known as the "terminal phase".
Purpose:
To protect high-value strategic sites, such as airfields or population centres.
Range:
THAAD can target projectiles inside and outside the Earth's atmosphere, at an altitude of 150 kilometres above the Earth's surface.
Creators:
Lockheed Martin was originally granted the contract to develop the system in 1992. Defence company Raytheon sub-contracts to develop other major parts of the system, such as ground-based radar.
UAE and THAAD:
In 2011, the UAE became the first country outside of the US to buy two THAAD missile defence systems. It then stationed them in 2016, becoming the first Gulf country to do so.

How much of your income do you need to save?
The more you save, the sooner you can retire. Tuan Phan, a board member of SimplyFI.com, says if you save just 5 per cent of your salary, you can expect to work for another 66 years before you are able to retire without too large a drop in income.
In other words, you will not save enough to retire comfortably. If you save 15 per cent, you can forward to another 43 working years. Up that to 40 per cent of your income, and your remaining working life drops to just 22 years. (see table)
Obviously, this is only a rough guide. How much you save will depend on variables, not least your salary and how much you already have in your pension pot. But it shows what you need to do to achieve financial independence.

What the law says
Micro-retirement is not a recognised concept or employment status under Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations (as amended) (UAE Labour Law). As such, it reflects a voluntary work-life balance practice, rather than a recognised legal employment category, according to Dilini Loku, senior associate for law firm Gateley Middle East.
“Some companies may offer formal sabbatical policies or career break programmes; however, beyond such arrangements, there is no automatic right or statutory entitlement to extended breaks,” she explains.
“Any leave taken beyond statutory entitlements, such as annual leave, is typically regarded as unpaid leave in accordance with Article 33 of the UAE Labour Law. While employees may legally take unpaid leave, such requests are subject to the employer’s discretion and require approval.”
If an employee resigns to pursue micro-retirement, the employment contract is terminated, and the employer is under no legal obligation to rehire the employee in the future unless specific contractual agreements are in place (such as return-to-work arrangements), which are generally uncommon, Ms Loku adds.
