Abu Dhabi's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards: Billie Eilish, Zahra Lari and Essa Al Marzoug among nominees

Camila Cabello, Zahra Lari and Adil Echbiy are among the nominees for this year’s inaugural Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Abu Dhabi. The event will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on Friday, September 20 and celebrate the best in kids’ entertainment, marking the first time a regional version of the awards show has been held in the UAE. Fans can vote for their favourite acts by heading to Nickelodeon’s website, on Instagram by using a special hashtag for their favourite nominee or via the Nickelodeon Play app. Tickets for the awards show start at Dh199. Nominees come from the region and beyond, with highlights such as Maya Diab up for Favourite Music Video, Zahra Lari for Favourite Sports Star and Amr Youssef for Favourite Actor. However, in addition to the awards show, families can also experience The World of Nickelodeon, taking place at Adnec from Thursday, September 19 to Saturday, September 21. The event will feature a variety of play areas such as the Paw Patrol skills circuit, a slime zone, Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles virtual reality experience and pizzeria, SpongeBob museum and more. There will also be live entertainment and music performances from two local artists (who are yet to be revealed). Tickets start at Dh25. Earlier in the month, it was announced that DCT Abu Dhabi and Viacom (owners of Nickelodeon) had signed a five-year partnership to host the Kids' Choice Awards in the UAE capital.
