New shows, movies and music to stream, from Dubai Bling season three to Ringo Starr's country album

Whether you love them or hate them, there's no denying the popularity of the colourful cast of Netflix's Dubai Bling. They're back this week for season three with a few new friends in tow. Meanwhile, OSN+ is launching its first original miniseries, a comedy-drama that follows a Kuwaiti influencer whose noble quest to help others soon gives way to her obsession with fame.

For reality show lovers, there's also a two-part documentary on Jerry Springer, the controversial "trash TV" pioneer, whose show became a cultural phenomenon in the 1990s.

Here are some of the latest films, shows and music to stream.

New shows to stream

Dubai Bling season three (Netflix)

The outrageous costumes and catfights are back. And keeping up with every reality show trope, tensions are soaring and loyalties are cracking in the latest season of Netflix hit Dubai Bling. Three new cast members are set to shake things up, including entrepreneur Jwana Karim, actress and TV anchor Mahira Abdel Aziz and Saudi model Rawan Abdullah Abu Zaid, more popularly known as Model Roz.

Cue the drama.

The Fashionista (OSN+)

The first original miniseries from OSN+ follows Maryam, played by Kuwaiti actress Lulwa Almulla, a motivational influencer, who soon becomes entranced by the trappings of online fame. A comedy-drama, the show was entirely shot in Kuwait and features Jamal Al-Radhan, Huda Al-Khateeb, Salwa Khattab, Fay Fouad, Ascia and Bibi Alabdulmohsen, among others.

The Pitt (OSN+)

R Scott Gemmill, the executive producer of popular medical drama ER, brings another show exploring the lives of healthcare workers. Set in Pittsburgh, the series captures the challenges and triumphs of medical professionals as they juggle personal crises, workplace politics and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients.

American Primeval (Netflix)

Taylor Kitsch stars in this American Western set in 1857 in a lawless world where culture, religion and community violently clash, and only the bravest survive. The show has been described by some critics as "Yellowstone meets Game of Thrones".

The Rig season two (Prime Video)

This British supernatural thriller, which premiered in 2023, centres on the crew of Scottish oil rig Kinloch Bravo, who find themselves cut off from all communication with the mainland by a mysterious fog. In their effort to find a way home, they soon find out the threat facing them is something beyond their wildest imagination, and they must form an alliance to ensure survival.

Still trapped after surviving a tsunami, season two is set to up the stakes as surviving crew members begin to worry about their loved ones at home.

New movies to stream

Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action (Netflix)

For 1990s kids, The Jerry Springer Show was the shock TV you couldn't not watch, featuring everything from over-the-top family melodrama to love triangles, secret siblings and plenty of flying chairs. Running for 27 seasons, the outrageous day time TV show became a cultural phenomenon, while also sparking debate about how far producers would go in the name of entertainment.

One of The National Team's most anticipated shows of 2025, Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action explores the show’s origins and rise, with first-hand testimonies and revelations from show insiders. Also featured are ex-guests of the show, who talk about how the controversial show changed their lives – usually not for the better.

The Iron Claw (OSN+)

Released in 2023, this drama is based on real life and centres on the Von Erichs, a family of professional wrestlers, who are believed to have been cursed by tragedy. Following the death of his firstborn, retired wrestler Fritz Von Erich trains his two sons, Kevin and David, for a career in wrestling. Kerry, his fourth son, is a discus thrower, while his fifth-born Mike is an aspiring musician. The sons soon face illnesses and personal tragedies that lead to their deaths, with Kevin as the sole-surviving sibling.

Zac Efron plays Kevin in a role The National called "an Oscar-worthy performance". Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickinson also star.

The Substance (OSN+)

Demi Moore's career-defining movie is now available to stream. In this sci-fi horror, Moore plays Elisabeth Sparkle, a fading celebrity who resorts to a black-market cell-replicating drug to reclaim her youth and fame. What begins as a miracle quickly spirals into a nightmare as the younger version of Elisabeth fights to take control of their shared consciousness.

Moore won her first Golden Globe for her role on Sunday, setting the stage for more awards season glory.

New music to stream

Look Up by Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr is going back to country. The Beatles drummer and songwriter is releasing his first full-length album in six years, featuring 11 original songs recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles.

Starr has long had a love of country music and wrote numerous country-tinged songs throughout his years with The Beatles, from Act Naturally to What Goes On and Don’t Pass Me By. Produced and co-written by T Bone Burnett, Starr says the album is a result of chance meeting with the guitarist and producer in 2022.

“I’ve always loved country music. And when I asked T Bone to write me a song, I didn’t even think at the time that it would be a country song – but of course it was, and it was so beautiful.” Ringo recalls. “I had been making EPs at the time and so I thought we would do a country EP – but when he brought me nine songs I knew we had to make an album. And I am so glad we did.

The Human Fear by Franz Ferdinand

Scottish band Franz Ferdinand return with their sixth album, an 11-track exploration of fear. Their first album since 2018's Always Ascending also features new drummer Audrey Tait.

“The greatest moments in your life usually involve overcoming some kind of fear," frontman Alex Kapranos told NME recently. "On the album, I’m talking about different fears that I’ve seen in other people – fear of social isolation, fear of leaving an institution, fear of leaving or staying in a relationship."
