Regional laughs are coming your way, courtesy of the Live at HQ online series.

Created by the entertainment company BookMyShow and running from Sunday to Friday, April 19 to 24, nearly 20 comedians will take to the stage to perform 30-minute sets which can be streamed on the BookMyShow website with all shows starting at 7.30pm.

The comics tapped to perform hail from both the Arab world and Southeast Asia and will deliver their punchlines in a range of languages such as English, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu.

Kicking the laughs off on April 19 is Imran Al Aradi. The Pakistani-Bahraini  funnyman is a popular broadcaster on Radio Bahrain and will surely provide some insights on life inside our Gulf neighbours.

Momos will bring the jokes on April 21. A seasoned performer, he won first place in last year Short & Sweet Comedy Festival in Dubai. His insights will be drawn from his eclectic background. He is a British Egyptian with Greek family roots and has lived in places such as the UAE, England, Egypt and Algeria.

Headlining the final night is the UAE’s very own Abz Ali. A practicing dentist by day, he has been working diligently on his comedy for the last seven years to ensure the chuckles arrive without the aid of laughing gas. His online show is part of his preparation for a new one hour show he aims to perform towards the end of the year.
