It has been a quiet year for singer Taylor Swift. The 27-year-old has been visibly absent from limelight for most of 2017, which in celebrity circles either means taking timeout or being busy with something new. In Swift's case, it's her new album, Reputation, out on Friday. Unlike previous releases, the star hasn’t given away as many details and PR for the album has been on her terms. One of the biggest statements was seen in August when Swift deleted all her social media posts. The move grabbed headlines and left her fans scratching their heads. Then a few days later, she started teasing details for a new single with a series of short videos, hashtags and that now infamous snake emoji. The internet speculated a bit of 'shade' being thrown by Swift. #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo dropped, heading right to the top of the digital charts in several markets around the world. The video also caught the attention of many, where it seemed as though the star was having a dig at frenemies like Katy Perry and ex Calvin Harris, and making the bold statement that the "Old Taylor is dead". Since then, she has followed that up with three more singles, a release date and artwork for the album. On Wednesday, Swift released the full track album listing following its leak online, which confirmed features from her pal Ed Sheeran, as well as Future on a song called End Game. Swift and Sheeran previously worked together in 2012 on the song called Everything Has Changed … Fitting? The album has already racked up some 400,000 pre-orders, which means fans are definitely ready for the star’s new offering. Will the new era be embraced by her legion of fans or will they be left wanting the old Taylor? _______________ Read more on Taylor's friends, 'frenemies' and exes: Update on Dubai concert: Ed Sheeran's arm healing well Katy Perry to roar in Abu Dhabi New Year's eve show Happy to know Calvin Harris is coming to town Confirmed: Kendrick Lamar completes Abu Dhabi F1 After Race Concerts line up _______________
