Jessie J has posted an emotional tribute to her bodyguard Dave, who recently passed away.
The UK singer took to social media to pay her respects and went to describe some of their favourite moments together.
One of which involved him comforting her during a turbulent flight from Dubai to London.
“When I was terrified on that flight from Dubai to London because of the turbulence and you held my hand for 8 hours. I will never forget that,” she said on an Instagram post on New Year's Eve that showed various pictures of them together during Jessie J’s previous concert tours.
Dave has joined her on her frequent trips to the UAE, which included a 2015 visit to a private party at Zaya Nurai Island to celebrate British Airways new route to the capital, and to a 2017 performance at Dubai's Mall of the Emirates.
As well as keeping her focused and motivated on the road, Jessie J remembered him for the companionship shared over the four years they worked together.
“The late night walks we would take together to get some air,” she said.
“Who would shout “banana” quickest. When you came to see me when I was in hospital to cheer me up and I was out of it on anaesthetic and we again just laughed. You were so worried about me. You looked after me.”
Other artists took to social media to pay their respects, with singers Shawn Mendes and Ronan Keating posting their support on Jessie J’s Instagram account.
