David August is headlining Groove on the Grass. The German DJ and producer leads the line-up of the latest edition of the electronic music festival in Dubai.
Held at the Emirates Golf Club on December 7, August will be taking the stage with a fistful of new tunes.
His UAE return marks the beginning of the touring cycle for his latest record D'Angelo, a record that finds him expanding his ambient sounds to include R&B, house and techno.
He will be joined by Danny Daze. The US spinner's versatility comes from his DIY approach to his craft. Anything goes on a Danny Daze set with dollops electro and Detroit House delivered in charmingly unpolished manner.
Also making a visit to the emirate is Redshape. The masked German act will bring his techno stylings alongside the veteran Italian DJ Gig Masin. Ever since his 1986 debut Wind, Masin's varied sounds had been sampled by artists such as Bjork, Nujabes, Main Attrakionz and Moomin.
Meanwhile, French DJ and Dubai regular Chloe is also set to bring her cinematic and minimal sounds to the festival.
