English pop star Engelbert Humperdinck and his wife Patricia Healey have tested positive for Covid-19, he announced in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
The Spanish Eyes singer, 84, who lives in Los Angeles, said that the coronavirus had "found a way into our home" after "nearly a year of an abundance of caution and care".
He asked fans for "prayers, good energy, love and support".
He also said his biggest "ask" is for people to think of his "darling" wife, who he describes as "an unbelievable woman of strength", as she has Alzheimer's.
Humperdinck's agent confirmed to the press that the singer is currently asymptomatic.
The couple, who have four children together, are in isolation at their LA home. "Every night we do prayers at 8pm for my wife," he said in a tweet.
"Now, I have to FaceTime from my room. Last night my daughter flew in with cases of photographs to reflect upon and keep us strong through our recovery. Our son Scott was on FaceTime prayers, our son Jason is in a separate room."
His other son, Bradley, who is also a singer, is "always here and checking up, is on call with supplies".
A smooth crooner, Humperdinck has often been referred to as The King of Romance.
Born Arnold George Dorsey in Madras, India, the singer has had several chart-topping ballads across the UK and US, including hit singles Release Me, The Last Waltz and This Moment In Time.
Overall, in a career spanning five decades, he's reportedly sold more than 140 million records worldwide.
