Chart-topper David Guetta will perform an online show from the helipad of Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel.
Streaming on his social media channels, including Facebook and YouTube, from 6pm on February 6, the rooftop destination will provide a stunning panoramic backdrop of Dubai as the French EDM DJ spins hits such as I Gotta Feeling, Titanium and Memories.
The concert also aims to raise funds for Unicef and Dubai Cares’ campaign Education Uninterrupted, which supports education and distance learning for children, students and teachers affected by the pandemic.
Guetta's Dubai stop forms part of his United At Home concert series, as part of which he teams up with humanitarian organisations to perform streamed sets from various picturesque locations.
The campaign kicked off in April 2020, when he delivered a poolside show overlooking Downtown Miami and the waters of Biscayne Bay. The event was well-received with 25 million and 17 million views on YouTube and Facebook respectively.
Guetta followed it a month later with another show at New York City's Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Centre. With 24 million streams, the show aimed to raise funds for Covid-19 relief efforts.
Perhaps, the most stunning of all was Guetta's freezing New Year's Eve gig at the Louvre in Paris, during which he gave a euphoric set on the empty concourse of the beautifully lit museum.
With Guetta presently the reigning number one spinner on the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 list, the man is on top of his game. His show on top of one of Dubai's most recognisable landmarks serves to underscore his status.

Moment of the day When Dilruwan Perera dismissed Yasir Shah to end Pakistan’s limp resistance, the Sri Lankans charged around the field with the fevered delirium of a side not used to winning. Trouble was, they had not. The delivery was deemed a no ball. Sri Lanka had a nervy wait, but it was merely a stay of execution for the beleaguered hosts.

The verdict Test matches in the UAE are known for speeding up on the last two days, but this was extreme. The first two innings of this Test took 11 sessions to complete. The remaining two were done in less than four. The nature of Pakistan’s capitulation at the end showed just how difficult the transition is going to be in the post Misbah-ul-Haq era.

• 2checkout’s “all-in-one payment gateway and merchant account” accepts payments in 200-plus markets for 2.4-3.9 per cent, plus a Dh1.2-Dh1.8 currency conversion charge. The US provider processes online shop and mobile transactions and has 17,000-plus active digital commerce users.
• PayPal is probably the best-known online goods payment method - usually used for eBay purchases - but can be used to receive funds, providing everyone’s signed up. Costs from 2.9 per cent plus Dh1.2 per transaction.

Stuck in a job without a pay rise? Here's what to do
Chris Greaves, the managing director of Hays Gulf Region, says those without a pay rise for an extended period must start asking questions – both of themselves and their employer.
“First, are they happy with that or do they want more?” he says. “Job-seeking is a time-consuming, frustrating and long-winded affair so are they prepared to put themselves through that rigmarole? Before they consider that, they must ask their employer what is happening.”
Most employees bring up pay rise queries at their annual performance appraisal and find out what the company has in store for them from a career perspective.
Those with no formal appraisal system, Mr Greaves says, should ask HR or their line manager for an assessment.
“You want to find out how they value your contribution and where your job could go,” he says. “You’ve got to be brave enough to ask some questions and if you don’t like the answers then you have to develop a strategy or change jobs if you are prepared to go through the job-seeking process.”
For those that do reach the salary negotiation with their current employer, Mr Greaves says there is no point in asking for less than 5 per cent.
“However, this can only really have any chance of success if you can identify where you add value to the business (preferably you can put a monetary value on it), or you can point to a sustained contribution above the call of duty or to other achievements you think your employer will value.”
