Bollywood singer Neha Bhasin is heading to The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi to celebrate the Diwali weekend on Friday, October 20.
The Jag Ghoomeya, Dhunki and Kuch Khaas Hai singer started her career in 2002 as a member of the Indian pop group Viva. This first all-girls band in the country made an entry into the Limca Book of Records for being the first debut band to pull in more than 50,000 people for their first concert.
Apart from Hindi, she has recorded songs in many Indian languages including Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi and Marathi.
The 'festival of lights' will see the mall transform into a Bollywood-inspired space with five classical Indian dance performances including kathak, bharat natyam, bhangra, dandia, and laavni.
There will also be Diwali-themed souvenirs, in addition to fun rangoli-making competitions, and a DJ playing Bollywood tunes.
“We look forward to hosting another remarkable event celebrating a special occasion with all our visitors from across the UAE," says Yasser Al Marzouqi, General Manager of WTCAD. "We have a diversified events calendar that we plan wisely to cater to all our visitors from all nationalities and ages."
Diwali Festival celebrations at The Mall at WTCAD will take place on Friday, October 20, from 5pm to 10pm on the ground floor
