The countdown is on for the release of the new BTS single Dynamite.

It was announced back in July that they would be launching a new English-language track on Friday, before a full new album scheduled for later this year.

In preparation for the big release, their management agency, Big Hit Entertainment, unveiled a new Dynamite teaser photo in which the band's members pose casually behind a counter.

Before the big day, the group will also deliver a music video teaser, which will be released on Tuesday.

“We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible,” the group said on Korean broadcasting app V Live when they announced the single.

“Due to Covid-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans,” they said.

But that's not all fans have to look forward to in the upcoming months. The K-pop stars also recently announced they'd host a concert called Map of the Soul ON:E, a live performance that will be streamed simultaneously on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11.

It will be the first in-person gig for BTS since they announced the postponement of their entire Map of the Soul world tour back in April because of the pandemic. No other details have yet to be released about the event including location, time or ticket pricing, although it's highly likely it will be in South Korea.

But if fans can’t wait until then, there’s also the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, at which, it was announced, the group will perform on Monday, August 31.
