The singer Tyrese Gibson is all set to film Fast & Furious 7 in the UAE, and has taken to Facebook to reveal that shooting will commence soon. He also mentions the late actor Paul Walker, who was part of the franchise and who died in a car crash in November last year. "UAE!!!! Excited to be headed to #AbuDhabi soon ... Bringing my whole Fast Family!!! Paul we love you and miss you bro!!! It's about to happen in the UAE get ready!!!" Some scenes of the seventh film in the Fast & Furious franchise were shot in Abu Dhabi last year, as part of the emirate's 30 per cent rebate scheme. The actors Kamal Haasan, Vidya Balan (pictured) and Paresh Rawal feature in this year’s list of India’s Padma awards that includes a host of personalities from sport to fashion and the arts. Canadian radio station gives Bieber silent treatment
A radio station in Canada is trying to get Justin Bieber to sign up for rehab. Hot 89.9 has declared that the 19-year-old Canadian pop star will be persona non grata on its airwaves until he checks himself into a facility to get help for drug abuse. So far, Bieber has brushed off any suggestions or attempts to get him into treatment. Bieber was arrested in Miami for driving after drinking and smoking illegal substances. More than 30,000 people in the United States have signed a petition on the White House website asking for his deportation. – The National staff
SRK shaken after accident
Shah Rukh Khan, who was injured on Thursday after a heavy door fell on him on the set of Farah Khan's Happy New Year, says that he still needs to undergo a few tests and took to Twitter to update his fans: "Have a few tests to do and Insha Allah all will be good. Few scars maybe. Will show them off because they say there are no scars for happiness." Khan was immediately taken to hospital for treatment but went back to work afterwards. According to The Times of India, the 48-year-old actor has a fractured shoulder and a torn tendon in his left knee. Intruder arrested at Selena Gomez’s home
Los Angeles police have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of trespassing at the home of the singer and actress Selena Gomez. A family member called police on Saturday morning after seeing an intruder on the property in the San Fernando Valley’s Tarzana area. Juan Daniel Garcia, from Arizona, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing. It is unclear if Gomez was home at the time. The singer and her family have a three-year restraining order against a man accused of threatening to kill her, granted in January 2011. – AP
