Comic book fans have been waiting with bated breath for updates on the third instalment of Spider-Man, which is currently under production in Atlanta, US.
And the movie's stars, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, trolled fans on Tuesday by teasing three different titles for the coming film.
"So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. Can't wait for you lot to see what we have been up to. Love from Atlanta," wrote Holland, who plays the titular character, on Instagram.
According to his Instagram, the third film will be called Spider-Man: Phone Home.
Holland’s love interest in the film, Zendaya, shared a similar post. “So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. So proud of this one ... FOS is back!” she wrote.
If she is to be believed, the film will be called Spider-Man: Home Slice. OK, we see what's happening here.
Peter Parker’s best friend in the film, played by Batalon, wrote on Instagram: “We’re so excited to share the title of our new movie!! Swipe right for the big reveal!! Also enjoy this exclusive still from the movie, just an extra gift from us.”
His title? Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker.
We are going to go out on a limb and say it is unlikely that the newest Marvel blockbuster, set for release in November 2021, will take any of these titles.
The cast are having fun teasing fans, playing on the "home" theme that the two previous titles, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, have followed.
What we do know, however, is that fans should expect something “special” from the film.
In an interview with film website Collider, Holland said: "It's easily the most ambitious standalone superhero film I've ever been a part of. It's incredibly exciting, it's funny, it's emotional, it's everything that you'd want in a superhero film. I'm loving it. I mean I've loved all of them, but I've never had as much fun as I have on this one … we're really, really making something very special."
We will just have to wait a bit longer to find out the actual name.

What the law says
Micro-retirement is not a recognised concept or employment status under Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations (as amended) (UAE Labour Law). As such, it reflects a voluntary work-life balance practice, rather than a recognised legal employment category, according to Dilini Loku, senior associate for law firm Gateley Middle East.
“Some companies may offer formal sabbatical policies or career break programmes; however, beyond such arrangements, there is no automatic right or statutory entitlement to extended breaks,” she explains.
“Any leave taken beyond statutory entitlements, such as annual leave, is typically regarded as unpaid leave in accordance with Article 33 of the UAE Labour Law. While employees may legally take unpaid leave, such requests are subject to the employer’s discretion and require approval.”
If an employee resigns to pursue micro-retirement, the employment contract is terminated, and the employer is under no legal obligation to rehire the employee in the future unless specific contractual agreements are in place (such as return-to-work arrangements), which are generally uncommon, Ms Loku adds.
