Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar paid tribute to "a legend, a great co-star and a good friend of the family".

Actress Shilpa Shetty has said that it was "gut-wrenching" news to wake up to.

Indian film actor Rajinikanth wrote simply: "Heartbroken ... Rest In Peace ... my dearest friend."

Actress and singer Parineeti Chopra paid tribute to Kapoor with a photo of them together. She described him as her "favourite man and favourite co-star ever".

Tollywood star Nani kept his tribute simple, writing just: "Farewell sir."

Fellow Telugu cinema star, Mahesh Babu, wrote of "another irreplaceable loss in our world of cinema".

Actor, director and producer Prithviraj Sukumaran, who worked with Rishi Kapoor on Aurangzeb, shared a touching anecdote from their time working together.

Many tributes have brought together the deaths of Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, grieving the acting greats together. Khan died on Wednesday, April 29, at the age of 53.

Fans have paid tribute to the pair with a scene from 2013 film D-Day, which they starred in together. The still captures Khan's character, Agent Wali Khan, wistfully staring out of the window, with a more stone-faced Kapoor, as Goldman, sat beside him.

Former Indian cricketer Parvinder Awana paid tribute to the pair with the D-Day still.

Politician Shashi Tharoor also shared the D-Day still.

Model and actor Kabir Duhan Singh wrote of two "legends gone too soon".

Politician Ghulam Ahmad Mir shared a different photo of Kapoor and Khan together, saying it was "very sad and big loss to film world".

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli wrote that losing the two stars was "unbelievable", adding: "Yesterday Irrfan Khan and today Rishi Kapoor ji. It's hard to accept this as a legend passes away today. My condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace."

Hydrogen: Market potential

Hydrogen has an estimated $11 trillion market potential, according to Bank of America Securities and is expected to generate $2.5tn in direct revenues and $11tn of indirect infrastructure by 2050 as its production increases six-fold.

"We believe we are reaching the point of harnessing the element that comprises 90 per cent of the universe, effectively and economically,” the bank said in a recent report.

Falling costs of renewable energy and electrolysers used in green hydrogen production is one of the main catalysts for the increasingly bullish sentiment over the element.

The cost of electrolysers used in green hydrogen production has halved over the last five years and will fall to 60 to 90 per cent by the end of the decade, acceding to Haim Israel, equity strategist at Merrill Lynch. A global focus on decarbonisation and sustainability is also a big driver in its development.
